Enso Village is a Zen inspired senior living community that seeks to highlight its resident artists, extending their work within Enso Village and to the larger art community of Sonoma County through a gallery/exhibition space. It would be at the end of the Assisted Living hallway, on the H-wing of the 2nd floor; 2H Gallery.
At TBD*, we developed 2H Gallery’s identity system throughout the semester and created something that not only celebrates and frames artists, but also invites people in and starts meaningful conversations. This is important because 2H Gallery is in an area of Enso Village that only recently opened up for residents to move in, and therefore is isolated from the community.
Prompts about art, directions to the gallery, and personal art statements are utilized throughout the identity on print, digital, and experiential applications that overall engage the community of Enso Village to talk with others, to knock on each other’s doors, and to support art.
The logo is another reminder of this: two half circles about to connect into one, much like how the goal of this gallery is for the communities of Enso Village and Sonoma County to also connect. The logo also has more layers of meaning; it is the same red that is found in Enso Village’s logo, and it is made up of lines, a feature that is found in the vineyards throughout Sonoma County and in the architecture of Enso Village.
